Tectonic forces reveal themselves by way of this large crack splitting this 40 foot canyon wall. This region is part of the Elsinore fault zone, a right lateral strike slip fault. Refusing to relinquish its position in this canyon the canyons walls retain their position despite the tectonic forces that threaten their place in this area.
