The many ravines and gullies are well worth exploring. This small butte reveals the effects of weathering on this area. Sodium rich plagioclase feldspar is found here, along with garnets, copper minerals, and some schorl bearing pegmatites. Bivalvia fossil can also be found in this area.
As this area is a desert climate, temperatures can exceed 38º Celsius during the summer months, it is therefore recommended to plan trips in the winter months.
